South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner

Criminal Justice Partners

The Police and Crime Commissioner has a duty to work closely with the criminal justice system.

One of the ways this is achieved is through the South Wales Criminal Justice Board. This sees representatives from a range of organisations meet to improve the provision of criminal justice services. Those involved in the Board include:

• Police
• HM Court Service
• Youth Justice Board
• Victim Support
• Crown Prosecution Service
• Probation Service
• HM Prison Service

As well as the South Wales Board, criminal justice partners meet regularly on an All-Wales basis.

The Board aims to build closer working between the different agencies to tackle issues which impact on the quality of life of local people
