BASED AT: Commissioner’s Team, Police HQ Bridgend/Cowbridge


OPEN FROM:   14.2.2020  -  6.3.2020

The role holder will be responsible for raising awareness of the work of the Commissioner and his team, as well as strengthening relationships with key policy and decision makers.  The role holder will manage and maintain the profile of the Commissioner and the work of the team using multiple forms of communication and media.

The role holder will also have responsibility for horizon scanning and monitoring the political environment, communicating impacts and business intelligence in a timely manner.

In addition, the role holder will work across the team to assist in compiling information and outcomes to communicate to the public and partners, and will contribute to the development of corporate documents such as the annual report. The role will require understanding and monitoring the political environment as well as undertaking the management and raising of the Commissioner’s and his Team’s public profile promoting work and achievements to promote accountability and confidence in policing.

Do you thrive under pressure, work well to deadlines, have strong analytical, computer, written and verbal presentation skills? Are you experienced representing and promoting a corporate image in all media and communications outlets? If you are qualified to NVQ Level IV/Degree level in a related subject or working towards such a qualification, or you can demonstrate employment experience at an equivalent level this could be the opportunity to demonstrate your skills.
