On Sunday, 24th September, South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Alun Michael will join a congregation of 1,000 at the New Theatre, Cardiff for the 20th annual National Police Memorial Day (NPMD), to honour police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice protecting and serving their communities
Alun Michael said: “Every day that a police officer goes to work, they put themselves in harm’s way to safeguard others.
“This Sunday is an opportunity to remember colleagues who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and to think of their families who have had to suffer the heartbreak of losing their loved one.
“They will never be forgotten.”
