The Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan covers six key priority areas for policing over the next 5 years. Although there are clear cross overs with all areas, tackling Violent Crime currently sits under Priority 1 ‘We will reduce and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour to keep people safe in their homes and communities’.
The Violent Crime work stream crosses over with the partners of South Wales Police, and features heavily in Area Planning Board, Public Service Boards and Single Integrated Plans for each local authority area within the force boundary.
Working with our partners to reduce violent crime is essential to make a real difference, we cannot tackle this problem alone.
