Police and Crime Commissioner Elections 2021
The next Police and Crime Commissioner elections are due to take place in May 2021.
Police and Crime Commissioners were created by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, with the first elections taking place in 2012. The second election took place in May 2016.
The Police and Crime Commissioner elections take place in the 40 police areas that cover England and Wales. Each policing area has its own Police and Crime Commissioner:
The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales covers the policing area of the following 7 local authorities:
The Vale of Glamorgan Council is the host authority for the 2021 Commissioner elections in South Wales. Debbie Marles from the Vale of Glamorgan Council is the Police Area Returning Officer for the South Wales Police Area for the May 2021 PCC Elections, and is responsible for the overall conduct of the PCC election.
