Can you provide independent, constructive support and challenge to ensure policing is effective?
Would you like to assist the South Wales Police & Crime Commissioner in acting as a critical friend to South Wales Police?
The Commissioner is now looking to recruit independent community members to the Police Accountability and Legitimacy Group (PALG) group in order to bring wider perspectives.
The Commissioner’s Police Accountability & Legitimacy Group (PALG) acts as a critical friend to South Wales Police, assisting the Commissioner in the role of overseeing that policing is effective and efficient for the communities of South Wales.
PALG members are currently from partner organisations in the South Wales Police area and provide valuable input and challenge into policing practices and processes.
If you are interested in being part of the group, please read the terms of reference and role profile attached, and complete the application form provided. We are particularly looking for applications from members of the community that are under-represented.
Applications close on Tuesday 1st September at 5pm.
